A high-level meeting held under the Chair of Caretaker Minister Excise Revenue & Finance Ahmad Rasool Bangash on monthly performance/ Revenue target of excise department. Zero tolerance for Negligence, corruption and incompetenc in Excise department , Caretaker Minister Ahmad Rasool Bangash All Excise Officers ensure timely and hundred percent revenue recovery, Ahmed Rasool Bangash Caretaker Minister for Finance, Revenue and Excise Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ahmed Rasool Bangash has said that Excise Department has a key role in the economic development of the province, all excise officers should ensure hundred percent revenue recovery in any case. We have to work as a team and work for the development of the province and foe the welfare of the public. He expressed these views while presiding over a high-level meeting on the monthly performance/revenue recovery of the Excise Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday. In the meeting, Secretary Excise Ehsanullah, Director General Excise Akmal Khattak, Rahmat Wazir Deputy Secretary Excise, Salahuddin Director Revenue, Engineer Dr. Eid Badshah Director Litigation, Javed Khalji Director Malakand Region, Sufian Haqqani Director Peshawar Region, Fawad Iqbal Khan Director Mardan Region, Ms. Andlib Director Hazara Region, Aftabuddin Director Narcotics Control and all District Excise and Taxation Officers were present. In the meeting, the performance of all regional and district excise offices for two months (August and July) of the financial year 2023-24 was reviewed in detail. A detailed briefing has been given to the meeting about the recovery of revenue targets. In his address to the meeting, the caretaker minister has directed all the excise officers to ensure timely and hundred percent revenue recovery against the given target. He said that the role of excise department is very important in the economic stability and development of the province, so all excise officers should do their best to ensure to achieve the revenue recovery through hard work and dedication. He further said that the strict legal action will be initiated against those involved in Corruption and illegal activity. incompetence and negligence from duty will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Those officers who does not work and shows persistent incompetencey will get punishment and those who work hard will be rewarded. Ahmad Rasool Bangash has said that a special campaign should be launched against major tax evasioners across the province as per the law while we have to work as a team, the doors of my office are open for all officers. The Caretaker Minister appealed to the taxpayers of the entire province to support the Excise Department in paying taxes and play their key role in the development and prosperity of the province.
